Join this growing design and build company who has an extensive project portfolio nationwide. They work on projects from residential refurbishments to large-scale leisure and hotels with a focus on Architecture, Design and Construction.
After being around for over 30 years our client is known for being big enough to offer a full range of services but small enough to be hands-on and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including having their own in-house design team making them a ‘one-stop-shop’.
Job details:
- Travel to sites when necessary (most work within M25)
- Projects in health-care, residential, commercial, hotel and leisure
- Conduct cost estimates and budget analyses for construction projects
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project progress and costs, identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and quality standards
- Provide expert advice on cost-effective construction methods and materials
- Assist in resolving disputes and claims related to cost and contracts
Experience required:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UK
- Ideally have experience with D&B projects
- A degree in quantity surveying or related field
- Proven experience with liaising with clients, stake holders and team members
