Plumbers install, maintain and repair pipes and fixtures on both residential and commercial construction projects. You will be able to interpret blueprints and building specifications to map pipe layout, install the supports for the pipes, assemble the appropriate fittings and valves and modify the pipes and fixtures before they are installed. Plumbers are also required to test the systems post-installation to ensure there are no leaks or other problems that may arise.
