About the Role
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant your role will grow to be crucial to the success of the Professional & Technical (Protec) team. Initially a large portion of your time will be spent getting to know the market, networking with candidates, learning about their roles and the admin side of the job. You should be happy to be hands on, however as you learn you will deal with candidates and clients at all levels from entry level to Directors and will be able to adapt your approach to the customer in hand.
Responsibilities
- Candidate acquisition - Build relationships with candidates within your market. Qualify what is important to them and what they are looking for from a potential new job.
- Managing interview processes - Guiding candidates through the interview process, arrange interviews, take feedback and deal with salary negotiations.
- Client acquisition - Build and develop relationships with new and existing clients.
- Become a market expert - Attend industry events, meet your customers face-to-face, take the time to acquire market intel.

Required Skills
- Motivating yourself will come naturally. A person who is hard-working, energetic, goal orientated with strong communication skills will do well in this career.
- You will be a problem solver, be assertive but approachable. Be inquisitive about construction and the built environment.
- Like dealing with people.
- A good level of confidence is a must.
